post-evanston post

today i rode the farthest i have to date: 44 miles, to evanston and back. i'm (co-)head copy editor for the maroon, and we've been working on the o-issue (i.e., the one that comes out for the first-years' orientation week). there are only two copy editors in chicago for the summer, though another, liz, is in evanston. we wanted as many eyes on the pages as possible, so i biked up with some pages for liz to look at. i have plans to fetch them on saturday, when i might cheat and take the el for part of the trip.

so. sore. but proud of myself.

when i got back to hyde park, i went to igor's for leftover liver and onions. i'd never had it before, but it was surprisingly tasty. also good for me, they say. after a shower and some food i was pretty sure i wouldn't want to touch my bike again for another week or so. when it was discovered that the monks of cool were out of milk, though, i totally went out to get some.

the things i'll do for a white russian.
